How to start trading on ApeX Omni

Step by step from account to first trade and withdrawal, based only on ApeX Omni’s own documentation (checked 08 Oct 2026). Each step links to the page it comes from.

Not available in some regions, including United States, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Myanmar, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, US-sanctioned jurisdictions (terms). Check the terms for your country before depositing.

1. Create an account

  1. Go to omni.apex.exchange and click Log in. You can connect a third-party wallet (for example MetaMask, Rabby, OKX Web3, Bybit Wallet or Phantom, or WalletConnect via QR code), approve the connection and confirm a signature request to verify you own the wallet. source ↗
  2. Or sign up with an email address: enter it, paste the 6-digit code sent to your inbox and click Create Account. This creates a Privy wallet with its own deposit address, so you can send funds straight from an exchange or another wallet. source ↗
  3. Creating an account is free and needs no gas. The terms of use bar people in or controlled from the United States and sanctioned regions (including Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Myanmar, Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk), and forbid using a VPN to get around this. source ↗

2. Deposit collateral

  1. Click Deposit in the top-right corner. Wallet accounts can deposit from Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Mantle and Arbitrum One; email (Privy) accounts from Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum One and Mantle by sending to the deposit address shown. source ↗
  2. Accepted deposit assets are USDT, USDC, WBTC, WETH, ETH, cmETH, mETH, cbBTC and USDe. Wallet users can also use Multichain Swap to convert, for example, ETH on Base into USDC before depositing. You pay the chain's gas fee in its native token. source ↗
  3. Deposits land in your Funding Account after a few minutes. Before trading you must use Transfer to move funds to the right account: Perpetual for crypto perps, TradFi for stock/commodity perps, Spot for swaps. source ↗
  4. Email (Privy) accounts can also pay by Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and USDT on TRON can be deposited directly. source ↗

3. Open your first position

  1. Open the Trade page, pick a contract from the dropdown, then click the leverage selector and set leverage with the slider. Leverage goes up to 100x on selected majors such as BTC-USDT and ETH-USDT. source ↗
  2. Choose an order type, enter the quantity, optionally tick TP/SL, and click Confirm. Order types are Limit (with GTT, FOK, IOC, Post-Only and Reduce-Only options), Market, Conditional Market, Conditional Limit and Take-Profit/Stop-Loss. source ↗
  3. Fees at the base VIP level are 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker, charged in USDT on filled orders only. Gas for placing, changing or cancelling orders is covered by ApeX. source ↗
  4. Close from the Positions tab by clicking Market under Close By, or let your TP/SL trigger. Closed results appear in the Closed P&L tab. source ↗

4. Know how liquidation works

  1. Perps use cross margin only: all positions share one margin pool, so a big loss in one position can push the others toward liquidation. ApeX Omni does not offer isolated margin. source ↗
  2. Liquidation starts when your margin ratio (total maintenance margin divided by total equity) reaches 100%. Risk is calculated with the mark price, not the last traded price, and any shortfall goes to auto-deleveraging (ADL). source ↗
  3. Funding is paid every hour on the hour (UTC), only by positions open at that moment, and is capped at plus or minus 0.05% per hour. source ↗

5. Withdraw

  1. Withdrawals only go out from the Funding Account, so transfer funds back from Perpetual or TradFi first. Then open the profile panel, click Withdraw, pick chain and asset, enter the amount and confirm. source ↗
  2. A Normal withdrawal waits for the next Layer 2 block and can take up to 4 hours; gas is deducted from your Funding balance. A Fast withdrawal (Ethereum, Arbitrum and BNB Chain only) is almost instant and costs 2 USDT, or a gas-based fee on Ethereum. source ↗
  3. Track status under Portfolio, Transfer tab. The docs recommend turning on Withdrawal Verification in User Settings, Security tab. source ↗
  4. If the normal route is unavailable, a force withdrawal is possible: submit a forced exit through zkLink, then claim the funds directly from the zkLink contract on your Layer 1 chain. source ↗

6. Common mistakes

  1. Non-USDT collateral counts at a reduced collateral ratio (USDC: 99% on the first 5,000,000, then 97.5%) and has per-asset limits. USDT is always used first, and non-stablecoin collateral can move your margin as its price changes. source ↗
  2. TradFi perps run in a separate TradFi Account with its own margin pool. Most pairs trade 24/5 and close on weekends and US public holidays; while closed, positions cannot be opened, closed or changed. source ↗
  3. For email accounts, double-check the deposit address, chain and token before sending: the docs say a wrong transfer cannot be reversed. source ↗

Before you trade

Perpetual futures use leverage: a small price move against you can liquidate your collateral. Start with a small amount and low leverage, and read the venue’s current fee and margin pages, which can change after this guide was checked.
