How to start trading on RISEx

Step by step from account to first trade and withdrawal, based only on RISEx’s own documentation (checked 08 Oct 2026). Each step links to the page it comes from.

Not available in some regions, including Afghanistan, Belarus, Canada, Cuba, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, North Korea and 13 more (terms). Check the terms for your country before depositing.

1. Create an account

  1. RISEx is in gated mainnet: to get in you need an access code from a user who already trades on the platform. source ↗
  2. Go to www.rise.trade, click Trade Now, and connect with Google or an EVM wallet. If you use Google, save the seed phrase when your wallet is created. source ↗
  3. Enter your access code, then enable trading and switch your network to "RISE Network". source ↗

2. Deposit collateral

  1. Click Deposit in the top right of the exchange. Choose "Send Crypto" to get a deposit address or QR code for the chain you send from, or "Deposit with Wallet" to enter an amount and confirm a transaction in your wallet. Deposits take about 3–5 minutes to appear. source ↗
  2. Send USDC on Arbitrum, at least $20. A smaller deposit is credited automatically once your total reaches $20; the wrong token or chain can usually be recovered through a support ticket. source ↗

3. Open your first position

  1. RISEx is cross-margined by default with USDC as the main collateral; isolated margin can be enabled for a single position. Initial margin is 1 divided by the leverage you choose. source ↗
  2. Orders can be limit or market, with post-only, reduce-only and time-in-force options (IOC, GTC, GTT, FOK). Full or partial take-profit and stop-loss orders can close a position but never flip it. source ↗
  3. Maximum leverage is set per market: 25x for BTC and ETH, and lower for other markets (down to 3x for some). source ↗

4. Know how liquidation works

  1. Maintenance margin is two-thirds of the initial margin at the market's max leverage, whatever leverage you pick. On a 10x-max market that is about 6.67% of position value, so high-leverage positions are liquidated close to entry. source ↗
  2. If equity falls below initial margin, the account enters pre-liquidation: non-reduce-only orders are cancelled and only reduce-only orders are allowed. Below maintenance margin, positions are liquidated one by one on the book; below the close-out level the XLP vault takes them over. source ↗
  3. Partial liquidation works at account level and closes whole positions, so with one open position the entire position can be closed. Liquidations filled better than the zero price pay up to a 1% fee to the XLP vault. source ↗

5. Withdraw

  1. Go to your portfolio page, click Withdraw, select the chain, enter the amount and click Withdraw. source ↗
  2. Each withdrawal costs $1, plus a LayerZero bridge gas fee that varies with network conditions. Withdrawals go through LayerZero and can be tracked on LayerZero Scan; open a ticket if one takes more than 30 minutes. source ↗

6. Common mistakes

  1. Stop-losses often trigger on the mark price, not the last traded price on the chart. A Stop Market can fill worse than its trigger in a fast move, while a Stop Limit may not fill at all. source ↗
  2. New accounts are Click Trader tier, with an added delay of 300 ms on taker orders and 200 ms on maker orders. Only post-only limit orders count as maker orders. source ↗
  3. During maintenance the venue is post-only: market orders and limit orders that cross the spread are rejected, but cancels still work. Maintenance is announced in the RISEx Mainnet Status Telegram group. source ↗
  4. Funding is paid every hour between traders. source ↗

Before you trade

Perpetual futures use leverage: a small price move against you can liquidate your collateral. Start with a small amount and low leverage, and read the venue’s current fee and margin pages, which can change after this guide was checked.
