How to start trading on StandX

Step by step from account to first trade and withdrawal, based only on StandX’s own documentation (checked 08 Oct 2026). Each step links to the page it comes from.

Not available in some regions, including Afghanistan, Belarus, Myanmar, Burundi, Central African Republic, Cuba, North Korea, DR Congo, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti and 20 more (terms). Check the terms for your country before depositing.

1. Create an account

  1. Go to www.standx.com, click CONNECT WALLET, choose the chain and wallet (the official walkthrough uses BNB Chain and Binance Wallet), then connect and sign in. source ↗
  2. If you create a new wallet for this, you need a small amount of BNB or SOL for network fees. source ↗

2. Deposit collateral

  1. StandX Perps uses DUSD, StandX's yield-bearing stablecoin, as the pricing and margin asset. source ↗
  2. Click PERPS, then DEPOSIT NOW, and select your token. If you have no DUSD yet, choose USDC or USDT and it is converted to DUSD automatically. source ↗
  3. Deposits arrive in your Cash Wallet. Only DUSD in the Perps Wallet can be used for trading, so use Transfer to move DUSD from Cash to Perps first; transfers between the two are instant. source ↗

3. Open your first position

  1. In the order entry panel, choose Market or Limit, set leverage, set the size with the slider or input field, then press BUY/LONG or SELL/SHORT. source ↗
  2. Choose cross or isolated margin before opening the position. In the default tier table, maximum leverage is 40x for positions up to 1,000,000 notional and falls for larger positions. source ↗
  3. Tick the TP/SL option in the execution panel to set a take-profit and stop-loss with the order, in DUSD or as a percentage. Order-level TP and SL work as a pair: when one fills, the other is cancelled. source ↗

4. Know how liquidation works

  1. Liquidation is triggered when your margin balance falls below maintenance margin, based on the mark price. Maintenance margin rises with position size, starting at 1.25% in the default tier. source ↗
  2. Small (Tier 1) positions are sent in full as an IOC order at the bankruptcy price, and any remaining collateral is forfeited. Larger positions are liquidated tranche by tranche until margin recovers. source ↗
  3. A liquidation clearance fee of 1.25% of notional is taken from any margin left after a forced close; no fee is charged if the position is bankrupt. source ↗
  4. Mark price is the median of a funding-adjusted index, a short-term basis price and the latest StandX trade, and is pinned to other venues' median mark price if it drifts abnormally. source ↗

5. Withdraw

  1. Transfer DUSD from the Perps Wallet to the Cash Wallet, then submit a withdrawal request on Solana or BSC; this creates an on-chain withdrawal slot that StandX processes automatically. Keep enough balance in the Cash Wallet until it completes. source ↗
  2. To turn DUSD back into USDT or USDC you can swap it, or redeem it officially. Redemption has a 7-day lock, a 10 DUSD minimum and a protocol fee shown before you confirm, and needs a little SOL for network fees. source ↗

6. Common mistakes

  1. TP/SL trigger on the mark price and do not guarantee a fill: the closing order depends on order-book liquidity and can slip. Each pair allows at most 10 active TP/SL orders. source ↗
  2. When your leverage reaches the critical threshold you can only adjust the position with Reduce Only; close orders without Reduce Only are rejected. source ↗
  3. If you create several withdrawal requests, those beyond your Cash Wallet balance fail. Click Free Slot to release a failed slot; this does not affect your funds. source ↗

Before you trade

Perpetual futures use leverage: a small price move against you can liquidate your collateral. Start with a small amount and low leverage, and read the venue’s current fee and margin pages, which can change after this guide was checked.
