1. Create an account
- Mainnet is currently open only to users with an Access Code, which TxFlow says you can get by joining its Discord. Then go to app.txflow.com. source ↗
- Email: click Connect, enter your email and the 6-digit code you receive; Privy creates an address for you. Wallet: click Connect and approve in MetaMask, Rabby or a similar EVM wallet. Either way, click Enable Trading and sign the gas-less transaction. source ↗
- Use a standard EOA wallet. Do not use an Account Abstraction (AA) wallet: depositing from one can block trading and withdrawals and may lock your funds permanently in the platform contract. source ↗
2. Deposit collateral
- USDC is the only collateral. Click Deposit and send USDC to the address shown from Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Polygon PoS or Solana; on Arbitrum and Polygon PoS only native USDC works, not USDC.e. source ↗
- Wallet users on Arbitrum can instead enter an amount, click Deposit and confirm in the wallet. source ↗
- Deposits are free on all five networks. A standard Arbitrum wallet deposit needs a little ETH for gas. source ↗
- With zero ETH on Arbitrum, you can use Gas-Free Deposit: sign an off-chain authorization for native Arbitrum USDC and TxFlow pays the gas. Deposits below 5 USDC are not supported and cannot be credited. source ↗
3. Open your first position
- When opening a position, choose cross margin (one shared collateral pool) or isolated margin (collateral for that position only), then set leverage up to the asset's maximum. Initial margin is position size times mark price divided by leverage. source ↗
- Use a Limit order to set your price, or a Market order to fill at once at the best price, within a 5% slippage tolerance. Post-Only and Reduce-Only options are available, with GTC or IOC time-in-force. source ↗
4. Know how liquidation works
- You are liquidated when equity falls below maintenance margin: across all cross positions in cross margin, or for that one position in isolated margin. Once liquidation begins you cannot add margin or stop it. source ↗
- The engine cancels all your open orders, then sends one large IOC order. If margin is still short, the rest is closed at the bankruptcy price and moved to the Liquidator Vault, and the maintenance margin is not returned to you. source ↗
- Mark price (oracle price plus a 30-second smoothed premium) is used for liquidations, unrealized PnL, margin and TP/SL triggers. The oracle price is a weighted median of spot prices on major centralized exchanges. source ↗
5. Withdraw
- Email login: click Withdraw, enter the amount and the destination address, and click Withdraw. Wallet login: click Withdraw, enter the amount and confirm in your wallet. History is under Portfolio → Deposits & Withdrawals. source ↗
- Withdrawal fees are 1 USDC via the official Arbitrum bridge, 0.1 USDC on Base or Polygon PoS, 0.5 USDC on Ethereum and 0.3 USDC on Solana. A one-time 1 USDC fee applies the first time you withdraw to a new address. source ↗
6. Common mistakes
- Outside US regular trading hours (14:30–21:00 UTC in standard time, 13:30–20:00 UTC in daylight saving time), on weekends and on US market holidays, stock and pre-IPO perps may be limited to reduce-only orders. source ↗
- Funding settles every 1, 4 or 8 hours depending on the contract. Only positions open at the exact settlement time pay or receive it. source ↗
- TP/SL trigger on the mark price, and the closing order then fills against the book, so the fill price can differ from your trigger price. source ↗
Before you trade
Perpetual futures use leverage: a small price move against you can liquidate your collateral. Start with a small amount and low leverage, and read the venue’s current fee and margin pages, which can change after this guide was checked.
