1. Create an account
- Click Sign up (or Log in) on grvt.io and choose a wallet such as MetaMask to connect. New accounts also enter an email address and type in the verification code sent to it. source ↗
- Your wallet then asks you to sign a message. This signature only proves the wallet is yours; it does not send a transaction or move funds. source ↗
- Grvt's own guide says onboarding requires KYC through ComplyCube: a document check and a biometric check, done once. source ↗
- Your account has a Funding account (deposits, withdrawals, transfers) and one or more Trading accounts used for trading. You move funds between them with an internal transfer. source ↗
2. Deposit collateral
- From your connected wallet you can deposit over Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base or BSC. From another exchange you can send to your deposit address over Arbitrum, Base, Tron, KAIA, Solana or BSC; the balance shows up in about 5 minutes. source ↗
- To deposit from an exchange, open Deposit, pick 'From other exchanges', choose the currency and copy the deposit address or QR code into the exchange's withdrawal form. source ↗
- The bridge accepts only USDT and USDC on the listed networks. USDC deposits are swapped to USDT through Rhino.fi, so your balance is shown in USDT. source ↗
- Minimum via the Rhino bridge: 1 USDT/USDC on Arbitrum and BNB Chain, 1 USDT on KAIA and Solana, 1 USDC on Base, 5 USDT on Tron. Grvt charges no deposit fee; you pay network gas. source ↗
3. Open your first position
- Pick a contract on the trading page and choose an order type in the order panel: Limit, Market, or advanced types such as Scale. Limit orders support GTT, IOC and FOK, plus Post-Only and Reduce-Only. source ↗
- Set leverage before opening a position: tap the leverage dropdown on the trading panel, move the slider (up to that contract's maximum) and tap Confirm. source ↗
- Positions are cross margin by default. You can switch to isolated in the order panel, but only when you have no open orders or positions on that pair. source ↗
4. Know how liquidation works
- Margin, liquidations and TP/SL triggers use the Grvt Mark Price, a median of three inputs (oracle-based, Grvt order book, and an external perp mark price), not the last trade. source ↗
- Grvt uses full liquidation: when equity falls below maintenance margin, the whole cross account (or the whole isolated position) is closed and taken over by the Insurance Fund. source ↗
5. Withdraw
- Withdrawals go only to pre-approved addresses. Under your Funding Account click Send, open the Wallets tab, add a wallet recipient (2FA if enabled, then sign with your SecureKey), pick network and currency, enter the amount and confirm. source ↗
- Withdrawals to Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, Tron, KAIA and Solana usually take about 5 minutes; to Ethereum about 8 hours. source ↗
- Fee: 2 USDT for Ethereum, or 1 USDT plus Rhino.fi gas for the other networks. There is no minimum, but you need enough balance to cover the fee. source ↗
6. Common mistakes
- A deposit below the network minimum is not processed and the funds are lost, even if you send more later. source ↗
- Do not send tokens to your SecureKey address, and do not use an unsupported token or network for the bridge address; those funds may be lost. source ↗
- On an isolated position you cannot lower leverage; you must close the position and reopen it. source ↗
Before you trade
Perpetual futures use leverage: a small price move against you can liquidate your collateral. Start with a small amount and low leverage, and read the venue’s current fee and margin pages, which can change after this guide was checked.
