What the docs show
We checked the highest leverage that 48 perp DEXs state in their own documentation or API. The median venue offers up to 50×; 9 offer more than 100× on at least one market, led by Aster, gTrade (Gains Network) and Antarctic.
The maximum usually applies only to one or two large markets such as BTC or ETH, often with small position-size limits. Most markets, and almost all stock, commodity and FX perps, allow much less.
Leverage sets how far price can move before your margin is gone. At 100× a move of about 1% against you wipes out the initial margin, and liquidation usually happens earlier because of maintenance margin and fees. The “liquidation move” column shows this simple 1 ÷ leverage figure before maintenance margin, fees and funding; use the liquidation calculator for a closer estimate.

Common questions
Which perp DEX offers the highest leverage?
Aster states up to 1001× on at least one market, the highest among the 48 venues we checked (8 October 2026).
Is higher leverage better?
No. Higher leverage only lets a smaller deposit control a larger position; it also brings the liquidation price much closer. Many experienced traders use low leverage even where high leverage is offered.

Open interest and fees: DefiLlama, captured 08 Oct 2026 · 14:43 UTC. 24h volume: CoinGecko derivatives exchange data (rolling 24 hours, converted from BTC), captured 08 Oct 2026 · 14:43 UTC. Token prices and 30-day price change: CoinGecko, at the time shown on each venue page; a parent-project or chain token is labelled and is not evidence of a claim on exchange revenue. Changes compare the last 30 days with the previous 30 days (OI as a daily average, fees as a total) and need at least 95% daily coverage. A trend label needs the 30-day move to pass a threshold (OI ±25%, fees ±30%) on a minimum base (OI ≥ $5M, fees ≥ $100K per 30 days); with 90 days of history both horizons must agree. Venue-reported volume is not audited; ⚑ marks volume above 25× open interest. “—” means unavailable, never zero. Full method ↗
