What the terms say
We read the restricted-jurisdiction clauses in the terms of 49 perp DEXs. 43 exclude the United States, 29 name the United Kingdom and 25 name Canada or a Canadian province.
Almost every venue also excludes sanctioned countries and regions. “Not listed” only means the country is not named in the clause we read: terms can change, can restrict access through other wording, and local law may still prohibit trading derivatives there.
Using a VPN or another person’s account to get around a restriction usually breaks the venue’s terms and can lead to frozen funds. Check the current terms for your own country before you deposit.
